Who We Are:
I'm Vanessa, and in 2019 I decided to create my own line of dog fleeces to offer high-quality, affordable and homemade dog apparel. Along the journey, my husband Reece has been an incredible support.

My Journey:
It all started when we bought two Equafleece suits for our oldest dogs, which we loved. However, the high cost made it difficult to justify buying more as spares. I saw an opportunity to make my own dog fleeces that would keep dogs warm and dry, provide maximum coverage without restricting movement and save time on post-walk clean-ups.

Through extensive research, sourcing the best materials and building strong relationships with suppliers, I developed a working pattern. After numerous trials and improvements using our own dogs as models, I perfected my designs and have been going strong ever since.

From Humble Beginnings to Thriving Business:
I started with a simple Facebook page, 'Vanessas Homemade Textiles,' initially making face masks and fabric bags during the covid pandemic. It didn't take long for my dog fleeces to become the star. Every product is handmade by me in Manchester, UK, ensuring the highest quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Our Team:
While I focus primarily on creating the dog fleeces, Reece is always there to lend a hand whenever needed. Together, we make a great team. In addition to our business, I also work as a dog walker which keeps me busy and fulfilled. Balancing both roles has taught me the importance of time management and dedication and I bring that same energy and passion into every fleece I make.
